Safety and scope

Use the model for understanding—not clinical decisions.

Clinical DT is an educational and simulation environment. Its outputs must remain within the limits of the model and the learning task.

Intended use

Clinical DT is intended for structured exploration of anatomy, modeled disease processes, physiologic signals, posture, movement, biomechanics and critical-care scenarios. It can help users understand relationships, compare model states and practice systematic observation.

Not intended for

  • Diagnosis, screening, triage, prognosis or treatment selection.
  • Monitoring a real patient or interpreting live clinical data.
  • Medication, ventilation, procedural or emergency decisions.
  • Patient-specific anatomical, physiologic or biomechanical measurement.
  • Validation of a medical device, clinical protocol or professional competency.

No patient information

Never enter, upload or reproduce protected health information, patient identifiers, medical records, clinical images or measurements belonging to a real person. Messages to MedTech Commons must contain only non-sensitive technical context.

Interpretation discipline

Define a baseline, change one available factor at a time and describe the observed output before proposing an explanation. State conclusions as conditional on the model and its assumptions. Do not generalize a simulated response to a person.

Urgent medical concerns

Clinical DT does not provide medical advice or emergency services. If you or another person may need urgent care, contact the appropriate local emergency service or a qualified healthcare professional.

Report a concern

Use the MedTech Commons contact address and do not include patient information in the message.
